Christian de Poorter - a French industrial designer - founded his company, de Poorter Design, in 1974 in Milan, Italy, based on solid technological preparation and project experience. Beyond interpreting the seduction of Italian Design de Poorter takes design development from the idea stage to detailed technical development of the product, including 3D computer renderings and animation when required. Terraillon, French company, came to the consumer forefront as the result of a design collaboration with de Poorter for products including the now-famous digital bathroom scales and digital timer selected in the 1980's by MOMA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Point of fact, is that the de Poorter design team is positioned to project attractive, seductive yet simple and functional products due in part to its keen knowledge of the Information Technology market. Mr. de Poorter's background as a freelance journalist allows a broad collaboration with Italian media. He contributes regularly to various leading Italian periodicals on high tech-related issues. He is also science and technology consultant for a national RAI 1 television program, "I Cervelloni" devoted to inventions, inventors and industrial research. |
