At de Poorter design we devise functional product; intuitive, user-friendly, that aim at simplicity yet are capable of provoking excitement, thanks, also to visual lightness of form. "Less is more!"

Why does high tech inevitably generate complexity?
Within this process there is a guilty party - the Man/Machine interface and a designated victim - the user.
Every day we must deal with frustrating videorecorders, multifunction telephones and puzzling remote controls: technology is fascinating, but confusing.
Microelectronics, In fact, tends not only to change the form of familiar objects but also to modify our relationship with them. Design becomes the protagonist of not only practical but also intellectual functionality.

"We buy with our eyes", said Raymond Loewy of industrial aesthetics. Today's challenge is the synthesis between the dimensions of high-tech and high-touch. The hypertechnological man we are going to be tries to find sensorial compensation not only in form but also in more sophisticated materials - the "skin" of objects. And so we seek sensorial stimulations, perhaps to compensate for technology's coldness.

In 2000 de Poorter Design is the expression of extensive Italian Design and the Made in Italy experience, which have seduced and conquered the world.
